Food: Valentine's Baking Triple Chocolate Brownie Hearts

07:37

As you might be able to tell I'm getting into the valentines spirit,
a Valentine's gift guide, Valentine's baking & an upcoming Valentine's lip post! Below is the recipe for these amazing Valentine's triple chocolate brownies which take approx 1hr and a half, they actually taste as good as the ones you would buy in a shop which is why I had to share a recipe, plus they're too pretty!

YOU WILL NEED
Ingredients
- 185g Unsalted Butter
- 185g Dark Chocolate
- 85g Plain Flour
- 40g Cocoa Powder
- 50g White & 50g Milk Chocolate
- 3 Eggs
- 275g Golden Caster Sugar
- Pink icing of your choice
Equipment
- 3 Mixing Bowls
- Whisk
- Weighing Scales
- 20cm tray
- Baking Paper
- Saucepan
- Sieve

Method:

1. Cut both the 185g butter and 185g dark chocolate into small pieces and place in a glass bowl. Fill a pan a quarter way full with water and bring to the boil whilst the bowl is resting on top (keep at a low heat) stir constantly to ensure the chocolate melts and doesn't burn.

2. After this is done leave the bowl to one side to cool to room temperature. Whilst waiting prepare the shallow 20cm tray by cutting out the baking paper to go in the tray and preheat the oven to fan (160C) or conventional (180C/Gas 4). Using the second bowl, get a sieve and shake both the 40g Cocoa powder and 85g flour into the bowl and make sure they're both mixed together to make a chocolate looking flour.

3. Break the 50g of white & 50g of milk chocolate into pieces and put to one side. In the third bowl break the 3 eggs into it and tip in the 275g golden caster sugar, mix with a whisk (electric or non electric it doesn't take long) until it is thick and creamy. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over this and slowly fold both together until they're full mixed in together.

4. Lastly, shake the flour and cocoa powder through a sieve (again) over your current mixture. This starts off dusty at first but after folding it, it will turn out thick and gooey. At the end you can add the chocolate chunks and stir them into the mixture. You can then place it in the prepared tin on the baking paper, spread evenly and place in the middle of preheated oven. Mine took 35 minutes however it did go slightly hard in the edges so I would put it in for 30 minutes.

6. Lastly, take the brownie out of the oven and leave to cool.

& decorate it however you want! I used some basic Sainsbury's pink icing & cut out hearts from my brownie piece. I also fancied some chocolate dipped strawberries to go with it too!

This isn't my own recipe, but after I tried it I had to share it! Hope you enjoyed the post, see you in my next one!
